The Lunenburg-Queens Business Excellence Awards are organized and presented annually by the Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade in Lunenburg County and Queens County, Nova Scotia . The main purpose of this prestegious event is to recognize, celebrate, and inspire business excellence throughout the region.
The Awards have grown from a small ' Bridgewater only' event to include businesses from throughout the Lunenburg-Queens region. There are six award categories (click the award name to view the criteria for that category):
Small Business Award
Large Business Award
Entrepreneurial Award
Export Achievement Award
New Business Award
Nominations are reviewed by an independent selection committee, three finalists are selected in each category, and the award recipients are announced at the gala awards banquet. The winner in each of the six categories is presented with a handcrafted plaque, made by Amos Pewter in Mahone Bay, commemorating their achievement.
